Eyes: aspirations are in the present / relative chronology of subjective human achievements.
Mouth: events are in the past / inevitably final chronology of subjective human actions.

Person wants to forget the past but former images again arise at present time.

Analytical formulas of the canon of changes.
1 (eyebrows) indefinite thinking is (mouth) uncorroborated evidence of (eyes) absolute existence.
2 (eyebrows) forgotten reminiscences are (eyes) actual displays of (mouth) denied past.
3 (mouth) negative assumptions are (eyebrows) uncertain projections of (eyes) obvious future.

The expanse of world space is middle level and corresponds with eyes which are in the center of human face. Water above expanse corresponds with eyebrows which have position on top level of human face. Water under expanse corresponds to a mouth which is located at the bottom level of human face.
And also three levels of universe and physiognomic features or facial lineaments correspond with lines in hexagrams of the canon of changes.
